So you want to learn how to curl?
We love the sport and community of curling. There are a variety of ways you can get into curling! We hope to see you sometime soon.
The higher profile of curling in the recent Winter Olympics, including the remarkable gold medal victory of the USA men's team in 2018, has stimulated lots of local interest in our sport, as did the USCA Curling Nationals held in the Philadelphia area for the first time in February 2012 and again in 2014.
PLEASE NOTE: We are aware of the high level of interest in curling inspired by the 2022 Winter Olympics, but beyond our curling class and group outings, we are not able to offer individual or group curling experiences to the public at this time. Meanwhile, we suggest that you check out the other local alternatives listed below.

Open Houses
At this time, we do not have plans to hold an open house. If you are interested in visiting the club, please contact us.
If you would like to try curling before our next public event, please consider contacting Bucks County Curling Club in Warminster, PA, Jersey Pinelands Curling Club in Mt. Laurel, NJ, or Diamond State Curling Club in Newark, DE.

Curling Classes
Our curling class is a great introduction to the sport, and a wonderful opportunity to try a Winter Olympic event! No prior experience is required. Participants must be at least 18 years of age. Classes include on-ice instruction and some game play.
We plan to hold our next class in Fall 2025.

Group Outings
Group outings (e.g. team building and client entertainment) are scheduled on weekday afternoons. An outing is three hours long and includes use of our facility as well as curling instruction from club members.
Our group outings will resume in Fall 2025.
Do you have youth programs?
The Philadelphia Curling Club strongly supports teaching the great sport of curling to young people and encourages their interest.
Children of members are automatically eligible for our programs, and young people whose parents are not members may also participate for a nominal fee. We have several programs available for young curlers:
- Little Rockers is our program for children ages 5-12. This group meets Saturday mornings to learn the basics and start playing together.
- Junior Curling is our young adult program for ages 12-18. Instruction is available for new curlers as well as competition training for those with advancing skills. With support from dedicated and capable instructors and coaches, some of our junior curlers have participated successfully at national and world competitive events.
