About the bonspiel
We were pleased to host the 47th anniversary of the Harvest, an event known for its great curling, superb meals, creative cocktails, and great hospitality — all at one of the best two-sheet clubs in the GNCC!
In honor of the building of our club, starting 60 years ago in 1964, we celebrated a band that changed music forever. The Beatles came to the U.S. that same year, debuting on the very popular Ed Sullivan Show, and their legendary spirit descended upon our club this November to make the 2024 Harvest an event to remember. Our bonspiel provided some groovy games, lively entertainment, and a magical atmosphere. Participants were encouraged to dust off their favorite Beatles attire, grab your broom (air guitar?), and let it be an unforgettable experience.
- For a refresher on previous winners and themes, check out our Harvest Mixed Bonspiel History page.
- Registration opened in September to all clubs that were interested. 16 teams are lined up to play. Stay up-to-date on the latest by following our Harvest Mixed Bonspiel Facebook Fan Page!
- We streamed the action (using our recently upgraded cameras) to our YouTube channel thoughout the event.
- The well-stocked mobile showroom from Brooms Up Curling Supplies was open outside the club on Saturday November 23rd from 11 AM until 7 PM.
- Author and curler, David Florig, was in attendance on Friday and Saturday to sign his second novel centered around curling, The Shattered Curling Stone.

This year's event was held on November 21st – 24th, 2024. The games began at 7 pm on Thursday and concluded on Sunday afternoon. We accepted 16 teams. The cost was $440 per team. All meals were included. The bonspiel had four events and each team had a three-game guarantee. Teams were registered in the traditional mixed format (two men and two women, alternating genders in the four player positions).
For your convenience, participants could download, print, and complete the required Release Form in advance, and bring it with them to the club. We requested one completed form per player. There are several nearby hotels that provided special rates for those attending events at the Philadelphia Curling Club.
