2021 Harvest Mixed Bonspiel

November 18th – 21st, 2021

About the bonspiel

Thanks to the availability of the COVID vaccines, we are planning to gather once again at the club to celebrate the 44th anniversary of the Harvest, and look forward welcoming both old and new friends for the traditional festivities, superb hospitality, and some great curling. This year's theme — "The Roaring 20s" — recalls a decade one hundred years ago known for its celebration following a global pandemic that had gripped the country (sound familiar?). We expect that the theme will once again provide inspiration for imaginative costumes, and hope that many teams will participate in that colorful tradition. For a refresher on previous winners and themes, check out our Harvest Mixed Bonspiel History page. Grab your best flapper dress or stylish evening suit and join in the fun!

Registration is closed and we have a full complement of 16 teams. Stay up-to-date on the latest by following our Harvest Mixed Bonspiel Facebook Fan Page!

This year's event will be held on November 18th – 21st, 2021. The games begin at 7 pm on Thursday and conclude on Sunday afternoon. We will accept 16 teams. The cost is $360 per team. All meals are included. The bonspiel has four events and each team has a three game guarantee. Teams must be registered in the traditional mixed format (two men and two women, alternating genders in the four player positions).

Due to ongoing concerns related to the pandemic, for this year only, registration was limited to teams from five clubs in the greater Philadelphia region (Philadelphia CC, Bucks County CC, Diamond State CC, New Jersey Pinelands CC, and Plainfield CC). Participating teams were selected during a live online lottery drawing on September 22nd. Each club was capped at 3 teams during the first pass of the lottery. After the first pass, we filled the open spots through a second round.

In compliance with club policies, all bonspiel participants (and other event attendees) must provide proof of vaccination to be allowed entry into the club. Masks must be worn during play, and while in the club unless actively eating or drinking. Please visit our Health and Safety Policies page for more information.

For your convenience, you can download, print, and complete the required Release Form in advance, and bring it with you to the club. We need one completed form per player. There are several nearby hotels that provide special rates for those attending events at the Philadelphia Curling Club.

We expect that the well-stocked mobile showroom from Brooms Up Curling Supplies will be open outside the club from 1 – 7 PM on Friday, November 19th. Please stop in at talk with Gary. For more information, please visit BroomsUp.com
